**Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) - Urology Opening in Litchfield Park, AZ** Located 20 miles from Phoenix **Position Details** - Searching for an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to join a growing practice. They are looking for candidates interested in working in the hospital/in-patient setting. - General Duties & Responsibilities of the APP - Performs complete evaluations on patients of all ages - Orders and interprets appropriate lab, x-ray, and special studies - Establishes a working diagnosis based on acquired data - Develops a treatment plan for urological conditions in accordance with current urology practice and in conjunction with the urologist - Implements therapeutic intervention - Provides appropriate follow-up care - Exercises judgment on conditions requiring consultation, referral, or evaluation by the supervising urologist or other healthcare professionals - Other duties as assigned - Hospital Duties & Responsibilities: - Sees new and follow-up patients and provides problem-oriented intervention for their urological conditions - Assists in care, treatment, and follow-up as needed - Performs and/or assists in procedures, including transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) volume studies, cystoscopies, post-void residual (PVRs) evals, difficult catheterizations, post-op voiding trails, and other necessary procedures - Orders and interprets lab, x-ray, special studies, and clinical procedures and provides appropriate care and follow-up - Performs on-call duties for urology - Evaluates, screens, and counsels patients on health maintenance and promotes the utilization of community resources - Education & Experience Requirements of the Urology APP - Master of Science from an accredited PA or NP program. - Current valid state medical license - DEA/DPS license - Previous Urology experience is a plus but, not required. - Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. - Ability to work with others and demonstrate leadership qualities - Benefits: Excellent base salary and benefits package that includes medical malpractice insurance, 401K, and health insurance, and sign-on bonus.
