We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant specializing in Occupational Medicine for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Connecticut. This 15-day assignment begins on 08/04/2025, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing workers' compensation cases, conducting employment physicals, providing injury care, performing DOT & CDL exams, conducting pre-placement exams, and handling skin lacerations, suturing, and wound care. This role offers a comprehensive occupational medicine experience using the Systoc EMR system.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Manage workers' compensation cases

• Conduct employment physicals for firefighters and law enforcement personnel

• Provide injury care and management

• Perform DOT & CDL exams

• Treat musculoskeletal sprains and injuries

• Conduct pre-placement exams

• Handle skin lacerations, suturing, and wound care

• Utilize Systoc electronic health record system

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records

• Communicate effectively with patients and employers

• Adhere to occupational health and safety regulations


Additional Information:

• Connecticut Physician Assistant license required

• Experience in occupational medicine preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
