Urgent Care NP or PA

A leading outpatient healthcare network in New Jersey is currently seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician, Nurse Practitioner (APN), or Physician Assistant (PA) to support multiple clinic locations. This is a flexible, high-volume role suited for providers comfortable with a fast-paced urgent care setting and emergency procedures.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-8:00 PM; Weekends, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
• Schedule: Flexible; multiple providers needed for full coverage
• Setting: Outpatient Urgent Care
• Patient Load: Approx. 25-40 patients per shift

Responsibilities:
The Urgent Care Provider will be responsible for:

• Managing outpatient urgent care visits and walk-ins
• Performing emergency procedures (suturing, splinting, x-ray interpretation)
• Handling a high volume of patients independently
• Collaborating with site staff to ensure efficient care
• Maintaining up-to-date documentation in EMR

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care
• Board Certification (for Physicians)
• Valid New Jersey APN/PA license or Physician license
• Current CDS and DEA
• Experience with emergency procedures (sutures, splints, x-rays)
• Strong clinical judgment and adaptability
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• High comfort level working independently

Desired Skills:

• 2+ years of direct urgent care or ED experience
• Familiarity with EPIC and Dragon dictation tools
• ACLS or BLS certification
• Problem-solving under pressure
• Patient-centered care approach
