CLINIC HOURS:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 8:00pm
- Saturday and Sunday, 8:00am to 4:00pm


COMPENSATION:
- $75 to $90 per Hour, dependent upon experience

COMPANY PROFILE:
Having opened its first office more than 20 years ago, this organization is now the largest physician-led outpatient medical practice in the greater NYC metro area. In addition to robust primary care offerings, they also operate specialty service lines in cardiology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, allergy and immunology, dermatology, and more. Their large staff of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants are supported by dedicated team members, utilizing resources such as on-site laboratory services.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The new nurse practitioner or physician assistant (APP) will provide medical services in an outpatient urgent care clinic. This includes, but is not limited to, diagnosis and treatment of adult and pediatric urgent medical conditions, adult and pediatric minor traumatic conditions, and coordination of care.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

- treat both adult and pediatric patients
- provide quality clinical diagnostic assessments in the delivery of urgent care services
- obtain and document patient history as appropriate to chief complaint or reason for visit
- collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical histories, exam results, etc.
- order and review laboratory tests and x-rays results
- provide recommendations for treatment plans
- refer patients for specialty provider follow-up care
- diagnose and treat disease and injuries
- perform minor laceration repairs
- perform splinting of minor orthopedic injuries
- treat acute, episodic, or chronic illness
- prescribe medication
- collaborate with other clinicians and staff members to ensure continuity of care of patients
- follow-up with patients regarding progress in high risk or emergency cases
- attend staff educational programs and meetings

A variable number of patients per day are seen, based upon length of shift and patient needs.

All visits are prepped and supported by dedicated clinical assistants.

The practice utilizes the Epic EHR.


REQUIREMENTS:
- New York NP or PA license
- DEA
- 2+ years urgent care experience
- ability to perform all standard urgent care procedures
- ability to see patients of all ages
