Highlights:
- The Vascular PA will function as a member of the Vascular Surgery team providing inpatient and outpatient services.
- The PA will be responsible for providing the following services:
- Outpatient evaluation of new patients with various vascular problems.
- Facilitating work up and therapeutic procedures for aortic disease, cerebrovascular disease, peripheral arterial disease, hemodialysis access and venous disorders.
- Evaluation of un-scheduled “drop-in” patients, who require urgent or focused evaluation.
- Occasional inpatient responsibilities for vascular surgery patients
- Assists in outpatient procedures such as: temporal artery biopsies, vein ablations, and phlebectomy and sclerotherapy procedures.

Following an orientation and training period of 30 – 90 days (varies depending on background, previous training and experience, specific skills require extended time), the candidate will work a full-time schedule and collaborate with attending physicians, fellows, residents and other PAs to establish appropriate follow-up.
- Successful candidates will have training and/or experience in the provision of outpatient care including:
- Initial and ongoing assessment
- Diagnostic evaluation
- Management of patients with significant vascular disease
