- Other Details: This is a full-time, high-priority Cardiothoracic Surgery position at a Level II Trauma center in Pennsylvania, requiring a board-certified NP or PA with at least one year of experience and certifications in ACLS, BLS, and CPR. The role involves scrubbing for CT surgery as a First Assist, including endoscopic vein harvesting, due to a vacancy and an FMLA leave. The schedule consists of Monday-Friday, 7 AM - 6 PM, with night call from 6 PM - 7 AM, and weekend call from 7 AM - 7 AM with rounding from 10 AM - 4 PM. Responsibilities include assisting in scheduled surgical cases, rounding, and rotating on-call emergency coverage, while physicians field overnight calls. The candidate will work solo and must be licensed in Pennsylvania. Candidates must respond to calls within 30 minutes. Typical cases include CABG, thoracic cases, AVR, TAVR, and aortic procedures, with 100% adult patient care.

Job Responsibilities
- Scrub in for scheduled surgical cases and emergency off-hours procedures.
- Perform hospital rounding and patient care in collaboration with the surgical team.
- Respond to on-call emergency surgical cases within 30 minutes.
- Utilize Cerner and Epic EMR for patient documentation.
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania state license (required to apply).
- ACLS, BLS, and CPR certifications.
- Experience in CABG, thoracic cases, AVR, TAVR, and aortic procedures.
- Credentialing process takes approximately 90 days.
Working Hours
- Weekend call from 7 AM - 7 AM, with rounding from 10 AM - 4 PM.
- Estimated 14 shifts per month.
