Start Date: ASAP as soon as credentialed
Contract Length: 6 months on going
Shift Details: 12hr shifts/week. Usually 3 wknd shifts/months & 3 night shifts/month.
Work Details: Minimal 1st assist time as there are 2 fellows on service. Approximately 50% of the time is spent in the ICU. There is no clinic. Duties may include rounding with heart failure/transplant, ICU, and mechanical circulatory support. Collaborating with physicians, surgeons, APP colleagues, and other clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient management. This includes taking histories, performing physical examinations, peri-operative planning, coordinating with outside providers and primary care providers, responding to changes in patient status, providing prescriptions, evaluations, referrals, ordering diagnostic tests/treatments, patient and family education, arranging follow-up appointments, and engaging in any approved privileges.

Certifications:
• Physician Assistant (NCCPA) or Nurse Practitioner!
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)
• Basic Life Support (Required) -
Skills required: Must have surgical procedural experience, ICU exp & endoscopic vein harvest (EVH) exp.
