An established cardiothoracic surgeon in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join their Cardiothoracic Surgery team. This is a full-time position, variable schedule working approx. 4 days per week and taking call.

Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient and first assist services
• Perform history and physical examinations
• Develop and implement patient management plans
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Perform therapeutic interventions and procedures
• Communicate effectively with patient care team members, consultants and most importantly families
• Carry sufficient patient load

Qualifications:

• Ability to obtain California State License
• A passion for providing patient-centered care
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
