A health services organization in New York is currently seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their growing Surgical team at one of their facilities in Niagara County. In this role, the Surgical NP / PA will be responsible for providing healthcare services to patients, encompassing health promotion, cancer prevention, acute and chronic illness care, and education and counseling for patients and their families.

About the Opportunity:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' physical and psychological status through interviews, health histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic studies
  • Conduct patient examinations and collect physical condition information
  • Order medical equipment, supplies, and various diagnostic tests (e.g., lab tests, X-rays, CT scans)
  • Develop treatment plans in collaboration with Physicians, including disease diagnosis and appropriate care plans
  • Provide patient care, including administering injections, immunizations, wound care, and prescribing medications and therapies under supervision

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of Surgical experience
  • Current NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) license
  • BLS certification:

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of GI, GU, Breast, or Thoracic
