We seek a full-time, new, or experienced physician assistant to join our collaborative neurosurgery team at LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia.

Job Responsibilities

- Variety of neurosurgical services, including cranial, complex spine, trauma, and pain neurosurgery.
- Mixture of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, averaging 3 days per week in the operating room as the surgical first assistant and 2 days per week in the clinic.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop, and implement individualized care plans, and ability to educate patients

Qualifications

- Must be a lawful permanent resident or legal member of the US
- Must be a certified or board-eligible physician assistant
- Provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with other physicians and dedicated patient care teams
- Excellent clinical and communication skills
- Ability to obtain a VA medical license, and DEA license
