Our client in New Britain, CT is looking to add a Physician Assistant to their neurosurgery team. This full-time position will work with 1:1 with an established neurosurgeon and team of providers.
Responsibilities:
- Full-time permanent position
- Monday-Friday schedule
- Mix of clinic/OR/hospital rounding
- No weekend or call requirements
- Brain and spine cases
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose conditions through physical examinations, medical imaging, and laboratory tests
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Prescribe medications and recommend non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy or rehabilitation
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Qualifications:
- Connecticut PA License
- Knowledge of neurosurgery, treatments and terminology
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
