Work Details:

• Support staff: There are 5 MD attendees, which are easily accessible for the PA’s.

• Amount of coverage needed per month: Flexible, any coverage is considered
  

• Department description: Well experienced neurosurgical APP for floor-based coverage of all neurosurgical patients including primary team responsibilities, consults, emergent consults in the ED for hemorrhagic strokes, ischemic strokes requiring mechanical intervention, emergent neurotrauma consultations and spine service consultations.
  
  Floor responsibilities include daily rounds with attendings, admission, progress and discharge notes, family follow up, placing consults and follow up for all neurosurgical patients including post op patients, neurocritical care level patients.
  
  In addition, there are expectations to perform bedside procedures like LP, EVD placement and adjustment, etc.

• Skills required: OR skill is nice to have but this job does not require OR time
