Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) for Neurosurg/ICU

Maxim Healthcare is currently seeking experienced PAs or NPs to work in Neurosurg/ICU in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in CC in the ICU, preferably Neuro CC, and experience with a & c lines. The PA or NP will function as a Jr. Resident and will have a lot of autonomy in running the ICU.

Responsibilities:

• Providing comprehensive patient care in the ICU
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals in patient care
• Performing diagnostic tests, procedures, and treatments as ordered by physicians
• Monitoring and interpreting patients' vital signs and initiating appropriate interventions as needed
• Documenting patient care in medical records
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Must be a certified PA or NP with a valid license in IL
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in CC in the ICU, preferably Neuro CC
• Experience with a & c lines preferred
• Ability to work 10-12 hr shifts rotating between days and nights as needed
• Ability to provide emergency privileges
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
