  • Other Details: The facility which is stroke-certified and trauma level 3 is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours only. There are an average of 8-16 patients per shift. The facility seeking a Locum PA/NP for General Surgery with surgical assisting preferred. The work schedule requires 160 hours per month, with varying days and hours; clinic hours typically total around 8 hours per week but may also vary. Due to a provider falling through, we are looking for an additional provider to cover the role and are hoping to start sooner than July if we find someone with a clean file who can be credentialed quickly. An active California license and ATLS certification are required.

Job Responsibilities

- Provide general surgery support, including clinic and surgical assisting duties
- Assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient care
- Perform rounds, patient evaluations, and documentation as needed
- Collaborate with surgeons and clinical staff for seamless care delivery

Qualifications

- Certified Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Active California medical license
- ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) certification required
- Previous experience in general surgery preferred

Working Hours

- 160 hours per month with varying days and shifts
- Approximately 8 hours of clinic per week, subject to change
- Start date as soon as credentialing allows, ideally before July
