General Surgery Locum job in Eureka, CA

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Tenens Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide general surgery coverage in a clinic setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in surgical assisting and possess strong clinical skills. We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible, with a target start date of July 1, 2025, but may be able to start a provider with a clean file sooner.

Schedule:

• 160 hours per month (days and hours may vary).
• Clinic schedule: Approximately 8 hours per week (days and hours may vary).
• Surgical assisting preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide general surgery support in a clinic setting.
• Perform patient evaluations and assessments.
• Assist in surgical procedures (surgical assisting preferred).
• Manage post-operative patient care.

Requirements:

• Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification.
• Experience in general surgery.
• Surgical assisting experience strongly preferred.
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification required.
• Active California (CA) license required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including varying days and hours.
• Clean file that can be turned around quickly, if seeking an earlier start date.
