We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join its General Surgery team in Bel Air, Maryland. This role offers a dynamic surgical experience with no clinic responsibilities and a focus on intraoperative support. The ideal candidate will assist in a variety of surgical procedures and work independently in a high-volume, team-oriented environment.

  • Assist in general surgery procedures in the operating room.
  • Provide preoperative and intraoperative surgical support.
  • Manage post-surgical patient care without pre- or post-operative orders or consults.
  • Participate in a rotating call schedule (six call shifts per month: four weekday nights and two 24-hour weekend shifts).
  • Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and charting.
  • Respond to surgical calls within 30 minutes when on call.

Job Responsibilities

Qualifications

State Licensure: Must be licensed in Maryland.
Minimum Experience: 1 year of surgical experience required.
Certifications: BLS required (DEA & CSR not required).
Da Vinci Robot Experience: Preferred, but not required.

Working Hours

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM.
On-call requirement: Six shifts per month (four weekday nights and two 24-hour weekend shifts).
Estimated shifts per month: 20.

Skills

Strong surgical assisting skills in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Effective communication within a multidisciplinary surgical team.
Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.
