Setting: Level II Trauma Center
Duties:
Required Procedures: Low/moderate risk procedures such as laceration repair, IV access/IV insertion-peripheral line, fracture and dislocation reductions (minimal/moderate displacement). High risk procedures: G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, cardioversion/defibrillation, LMA, paracentesis, chest tubes, central and arterial line placement.
EMR: Cerner Care B
Support Staff: There will be one other Trauma NP/PA who works day shift (7a-5p).
Submission Requirements
- NCCPA or ANCC Certified – Required
- CA active license – Required (NPs must have CA NP furnishing number); Completion of CA CSEC (California Controlled Substance Education Course (PA's Only)
- CA DEA, ACLS, ATLS – Required during credentialing
- Availability at time of name clear – Required
- Clean Malpractice / Background - Highly preferred
- Must be actively working at a TJC-accredited hospital - Required
