Key Responsibilities:

• Work in a Level 2 Adult Trauma Center providing trauma care to adult patients (16+ years; pediatrics transferred out).
• Work autonomously with in-house trauma surgeons available 24/7 for support as needed.
• No first assist in the OR; will not perform surgical procedures, but will assist in critical care management.
• Focus on inpatient trauma care with experience in trauma surgery and critical care.
• Manage patients who are admitted through the trauma service line, not just in the ED or as part of medical critical care.
• Primary role involves trauma surgery and critical care management, including trauma alerts and care coordination.
• Use Epic for documentation.

Requirements:

• Board Certification as an NP or PA.
• Active Ohio state license.
• BLS, ACLS, ATLS certifications (required).
• FCCS (Faculty of Critical Care Support) certification preferred.
• Experience in trauma surgery and critical care is required.
• Experience working on a trauma service with trauma surgeons, managing critical care, and trauma alerts.

Notes:

• Will not function as a first assist in the OR.
• Must have critical care experience in a trauma setting.
• Candidates must be willing to work weekends and on-call shifts.
