We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant for a locum tenens opportunity in Columbus, Ohio. This role involves assisting with adult cardiovascular cases, primarily during scheduled 8-hour shifts for surgeries, with additional call coverage required on nights and weekends. The call schedule follows a one-in-two or one-in-three rotation, supporting critical cardiovascular needs in a Level I trauma center.
The Physician Assistant will collaborate closely with the surgical and medical team, ensuring comprehensive perioperative care for cardiovascular patients. Duties include assisting in cardiovascular surgeries, providing care during the perioperative period, and managing urgent cases during on-call hours. Patient documentation will be completed within the EPIC EMR system, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Requirements:
- Active Ohio Physician Assistant license (IMLC not accepted)
- Board Certification with NCCP
- COVID-19 vaccination required
