VeloSource has a Cardiothoracic Surgery Opportunity open to NP's/PA's in Dayton, OH.

• Active OH license required
• Must be Board Certified
• Minimum # Years Experience: 1
• DEA Required
• Certifications Required: ACLS; BLS
• Requirement Notes: certified PA or certified NP (with RNFA) with experience in cardiac surgery.
• Coverage Need: most common schedule type is 7-on/7-off, but the team is open to considering other options. The provider will work weekends.
• Estimated Shifts/Month: 14
• Providers Typical Day: Cardiac-surgery APP coverage for Cardiothoracic Surgery Associates. First-assisting; conduit-harvesting; inpatient rounding and consults. 80%-90% is OR; 10%-20% is IP. After-hours beeper call (not in-house) for consults, OR.
• Possible procedures include: Placement of lines (arterial and venous). Removal of chest tubes, pacing wires, IABPs; ECMO decannulation. Chest tube insertion is rare but possible, with assistance from attending surgeon. The CT surgery team doesn't do advanced heart failure, VADs, or transplants.
