VeloSource has a Trauma Surgery NP/PA Opportunity in Altoona, PA.

• Trauma Level Designation: Level III
• Credential Accepted: NP; PA
• Active PA state license required
• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Minimum # Years Experience: 1
• Certifications Required: ACLS; ATLS; BLS; PALS
• Coverage Need: Need both Day and Night shift coverage. Shifts are 12 hr days. Day: 7a-7p Night: 7p-7a
• Estimated Shifts/Month: 7
• Providers Typical Day: Responds to trauma activations, daily rounds, progress notes, H&Ps and discharge summaries
• Other Job Notes: Looking for APPs for trauma center that covers emergency general surgery. 20-35 inpatient per day/night.
• Typical Cases Seen: Falls, MVC, MCC (major complication or Comorbidity)
• Procedures: appys, choley, ex lap, hernia repairs
• Burn: 5%
• Surgical: 45%
• Trauma: 50%
• Travel Covered: Mileage (Personal Vehicle); Airfare; Lodging; Parking; Rental Car & Fuel; Ground Transportation
