Surgical First Assist PA or Acute Care NP opening in Albuquerque, NM
- Located in Albuquerque, NM
- Full-time, permanent position
**Position:** Surgical First Assist Physician Assistant (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) skilled in vein harvesting
**Schedule:** Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Inpatient-Only
- Weekend rounds and rotating evening call with excess pay
- Daily patient load varies from 4-10
- Q4-5 Call Coverage with Excess Call Pay: 4 days a month (approx. 4-10 patient encounters during call)
- EMR: Epic
**Role Responsibilities:**
- Surgical 1st Assist for eight Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgeons in the operating room
- Rounding on cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients
- Onsite testing available: Echo, Vascular, Nuclear, and CT
- Utilize 3 procedure rooms
**Minimum Requirements:**
- Board-Certified as 1st Assist Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- 3+ years of endoscopic vein harvesting experience/certification
