Job Description
[Register to View] is seeking an experienced General Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) who provides and coordinates direct patient care, sees post-op follow ups and some inpatient rounding. Joining a team of multiple General Surgeons, incoming provider needs to be able to work independently as well as alongside a team.
- General Surgery background is also preferred but not required
- Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule with working mostly in the ambulatory clinic
- Clinic work will consist of 90% post-op follow ups and some new patients
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE: Minimum:
Graduate of a PA educational program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission (ARC)
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: Minimum:
Current California Physician Assistant License
Current CPR recognition
Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 3 months of hire
Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number or proof of application
Meets Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to bill Medicare
Credentialed through AHRO Medical Staff
Desired:
Bilingual in Spanish or Punjabi is desirable
One-year clinical experience as a Physician Assistant with General Surgery experience
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must have the confidence and experience to work independently with diverse patient populations and experience in accessing specialty referrals and community resources. Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis.

Wage Scale: $160,000-185,000/year
