Adventist Health + Rideout is seeking multiple experienced Trauma Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join medical group just outside of Sacramento in Yuba City, CA. As a Trauma Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to critically injured patients coming through our ED and Acute Care Surgery.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the trauma team, including trauma surgeons, emergency physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care to trauma patients.
- Perform initial assessments and triage patients based on the severity of their injuries.
- Assist in resuscitation efforts, including airway management, vascular access, and administration of medications.
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and order appropriate diagnostic tests to determine the extent of injuries.
- Interpret diagnostic test results and communicate findings to the supervising physician.
- Assist in performing life-saving procedures and surgeries, such as chest tube placement, central line insertion, and wound management.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and provide necessary interventions to stabilize their condition.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Current certification and licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for California
- DEA/NPI
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a trauma or surgery setting
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
- Strong knowledge of trauma assessment and management protocols.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.

Wage Scale: $150,000-180,000/year
