A premier medical center in Duluth, MN is actively seeking a Physician Assistant with experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery to join their high-volume, collaborative surgical team on a locum tenens basis. This is a well-rounded position involving OR first-assist, inpatient rounding, and outpatient clinic duties, along with participation in a 1:3 beeper call rotation.
Assignment Details

- 🏥 Setting: Inpatient, Outpatient, OR
- 🧑🤝🧑 Patient Volume:
- Outpatient: 10–15/day
- Inpatient Census: 187
- 📟 Call Ratio: 1:3 (Beeper), Avg. 10–15 calls/24 hrs
- 📁 Credentialing Timeframe: ~75 days
- 🚗 Travel/Lodging: Stipends available for non-local providers
Job Responsibilities
Rounding on cardiothoracic inpatients
Clinic-based pre-op and post-op evaluations
Respond to emergencies and provide inpatient call coverage
Qualifications
Active MN license or IMLC eligible
Cardiothoracic Surgery experience preferred
BLS & ACLS certification required
Working Hours
⏱️ 40+ hours/week
