  • Other Details: The facility which is stroke-certified and trauma level 1 is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours only. Both day (7 AM – 7 PM) and night (7 PM – 7 AM) shifts are needed, with coverage required seven days a week. Responsibilities include rounding in the ICU, managing pre- and post-cardiac surgery patients, and overseeing patients coming off ventilators. The provider will care for patients recovering from open-heart surgeries, VATS procedures, and lung cases, with an average of 20-25 patients on service at any given time.

Job Responsibilities

- Provide ICU coverage, including rounding on critically ill patients.
- Manage pre- and post-cardiac surgery patients, including those recovering from open-heart surgeries, VATS procedures, and lung cases.
- Oversee ventilator management and ensure proper care for patients coming off vents.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

- Board-certified or board-eligible in Critical Care, Pulmonary Medicine, or a related specialty.
- Active medical license in the state of practice.
- Experience managing post-cardiac surgery and ICU patients preferred.
- Strong ability to work independently in a high-acuity setting.

Working Hours

- Both day (7 AM – 7 PM) and night (7 PM – 7 AM) shifts available.
- Coverage needed seven days a week.

- Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
