We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Cardiovascular Surgery team. The selected provider will work independently in the CV OR, focusing on Endovascular Vein Harvesting (EVH) for CABG procedures. Candidates must be proficient in vein harvesting and capable of functioning autonomously in the operating room upon arrival.
- Assist in coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery with a focus on endovascular vein harvesting (EVH).
- Provide perioperative and post-operative patient management.
- Work independently in the operating room, ensuring efficiency and high-quality patient care.
- Participate in in-house and telephone call rotations.
- Assist with late-night and early-evening surgeries, with limited overnight emergency cases.
- Collaborate with cardiovascular surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in respective field.
- Active Illinois state license (required).
- DEA License & CSR License required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in cardiovascular OR procedures.
- ACLS certification required.
- Must have EVH experience and be able to function independently in CV OR.
Job Responsibilities

Qualifications
Active Illinois state license (required).
DEA License & CSR License required.

Must have EVH experience and be able to function independently in CV OR.
Working Hours
On-call requirement (primarily late-night or early-evening cases).
No in-house presence required when not on shift.
Skills
Strong clinical decision-making and ability to function independently.
Proficiency in EPIC EMR documentation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
