Rate:

• Standard Rate: $150.00/hour
• Night Call Rate: $500.00 per night
• 24-Hour Weekend Call Rate: $950.00 per day
• Call Back Rate: $200.00/hour

Job Description:

Seeking a Cardiothoracic PA to provide support for its cardiovascular surgery department. This position involves a combination of scheduled shifts and on-call coverage, with responsibilities including assisting in the operating room and supporting procedures in the cardiovascular clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Surgical Assistance: First assist in surgeries, including:
  • Cardiac Surgery: CABG, TAVR
  • Vascular Surgery: AAA, AVR, MVR
  • Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH): Assisted in the OR using the Maquet EVH System.
  • Bedside Procedures: CABG, AAA, AVR, and vascular procedures.
• Clinic & Rounding: Perform cardiovascular rounding and assist with clinic duties for adult patients.
• Call Coverage: On-call every 3rd weekend and every 3rd night.
• Support Staff: Work alongside 2 surgeons, 2 PAs, and 1 CRNP.
• Patient Population: Adults with cardiovascular and vascular conditions.
• Department Setting: Cardiovascular OR & Clinic.
• EMR: Cerner (Inpatient) / GE (Outpatient).

Schedule & Availability:

• Shifts: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts).
• Call Schedule: Every 3rd weekend and every 3rd night.

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Cardiovascular or related field
• State License: Pennsylvania
• Certifications:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiothoracic or cardiovascular surgery.
• Charting Experience: Cerner – Required.
• DEA: Preferred.
• Credentialing: Timeframe of 60-90 days.
