Job Title: Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant

Contract Duration: 6 months

Position Overview:

• Specialty: Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts), with call every 3rd weekend and every 3rd night
• Average Daily Census: 10-12 patients
• Support Team: 2 surgeons, 2 Physician Assistants (PA), 1 Clinical Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)
• Work Setting: Hospital (OR & Rounding) and Clinic
• Procedures: Cardiac and vascular surgeries, including CABG, TAVR, AAA, AVR, MVR; first assist and vein harvesting; bedside procedures

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform cardiovascular procedures and surgeries, including CABG, TAVR, AVR, MVR, and AAA
• Assist in the operating room and provide first assist with endoscopic vein harvesting
• Round on patients in the hospital and support the cardiovascular clinic
• Participate in call rotation (every 3rd weekend, every 3rd night)
• Manage a patient load of approximately 10 patients per day (including OR cases and floor rounds)

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant (BC)
• State License: Pennsylvania (required)
• Certifications:
  • ACLS (required)
  • BLS (required)
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in cardiovascular surgery and related procedures
• Charting Experience: Cerner (Inpatient) and GE (Outpatient)

Compensation:

• Bill Rate: $130.00 per hour
• Call Back Rate: $200.00 per hour
• Night Call Rate: $520.00 per shift
• 24-Hour Weekend Call Rate: $920.00 per day
