Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA)
Location: Seattle, WA
Compensation: $150,000 - $215,000 per year, depending on experience.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing cardiothoracic surgery team in Seattle, WA. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled PA with a minimum of 5 years of cardiac surgery experience to provide high-quality care in both the operating room and clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in cardiac and thoracic surgeries, including preoperative and postoperative patient management.
  • Conduct patient assessments, perform diagnostic tests, and develop comprehensive care plans in collaboration with the surgical team.
  • Provide intraoperative support, including vein harvesting and first-assist duties during complex cardiothoracic procedures.
  • Monitor patient recovery and manage postoperative care, including wound management, medications, and patient education.
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the broader healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in rounds, consultations, and follow-up care to ensure continuity of care for cardiothoracic surgery patients.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of patient encounters, treatments, and outcomes in electronic medical records.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Physician Assistant (PA) with active licensure in Washington or eligibility for state licensure.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cardiac surgery is required.
  • Proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting is preferred.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage complex surgical cases and provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
