Locums – Flagstaff, Arizona, PA Cardiothoracic Surgery Opening
Clinical Role:

- October 8-13th, 19-20th, 28th-31st November 5-8th, 16-18th, 23rd-25th and 30th
- Flexible on shifts
- Will need one day for orientation
- Support Staff: Surgeon
- Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: 4 days, 7a-3p plus call 3p-7a
- Patients per day: 10-15 CVICU/step down patients, plus 1-2 surgeries
- Patient Population/Age: adult/geriatrics
- Department Description: CT Surgery
- EMR: Cerner
- Hospital Bed size: 199
- Special Procedures: temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, Aline placement Skills Required: recent cardiothoracic surgery, proficient with EVH
- Practice Setting: Hospital
- Board Certification Required
- Active AZ License Required
- DEA
- Minimum Experience Required: 3 years in cardiothoracic surgery with EVH
- Graduate from a university program approved by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) - Required OR master’s degree in nursing- Required
- Certified or certification eligible by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) - Required
- Licensure or eligible for licensing as a Physician’s Assistant in the State of Arizona– Required
- ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association)- Required OR *Graduate from an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program – Required
- Completion of a RN/NP First Assistant Program- Required
- Current unrestricted Arizona APRN license- Required
- Medical Surgical or NP ANCC or AANP Certification- Required
- ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association)- Required
