Join a great team of Interventional Radiology providers who collaborate to provide clinical care to patients both non-procedurally and procedurally. This position is weekdays with no weekends or call. The individual will be required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Must be trained/licensed to treat patients of all ages (adult and children).

Job Responsibilities

This provider will perform some minor procedures independently following training and privileging to include but not limited to gastrostomy change, mediport removal, paracentesis, thoracentesis, tunneled catheter removal, thyroid biopsy and lymph node biopsy. The position will also be responsible for non-procedural activities to include but limited to rounding on inpatients post procedure, triaging orders, clinic visits, communicating with referring services, history and physicals and discharge instructions.

Qualifications

The Physician Assistant will work under the responsibility and supervision of the physician and require completion of an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification or eligibility and Pennsylvania State licensure.

The Nurse Practitioner will work in collaboration with the physician and have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position. Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA.

Trained and licensed to treat patients of all ages (adult and pediatric).

Working Hours

Day shift, no nights, weekends or call. This position will require the provider to practice onsite at our Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA location.
