We are actively seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Thoracic (CVT) Physician Assistant to join our surgical team. This position will involve working closely with surgeons in the operating room, first-assisting on procedures, including vein harvesting, and providing comprehensive care for both preoperative and postoperative patients. The role includes inpatient rounding, admissions, and managing ICU patients. This is a full-time position requiring flexibility with on-call duties.
Shift Options: 5 x 8-hour shifts or 4 x 10-hour shifts
OR Hours: 4 x 10-hour days, Monday through Friday, 0630-1700
On-Call: 1-2 nights per week, 1700-0700
Weekends: On-call from Saturday 0700 through Monday 0630
Assist in cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries, including first-assist and vein harvesting
Provide care for inpatients, including ICU rounding
Handle admissions and patient management
Participate in on-call coverage for emergencies and OR cases
Length of Assignment: Ongoing
Requirements: Active Indiana state PA license. BLS, ACLS, CSR, and DEA certifications
Cardiovascular and thoracic surgery experience preferred
