Marshfield Medical Center – Weston located in Wausau/Weston, Wisconsin is seeking a Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. This NP/PA would be a skilled member of the health team and provide medical and educational services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician, according to Nurse Practitioner Protocol, and within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner License in the State of Wisconsin.

In this role, you will assist the pulmonologist who works .5 in the clinic and .5 in the hospital critical care. You will see new patients as well as consults.

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: Master’s Degree in Nursing/Physician Assistant.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required: None

Preferred/Optional: One to three years’ experience in specialty.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: Current Applicable State Nurse License or Nurse Compact License, and Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Licensure. Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department/location).

Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
