Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support Behavioral Health Network with the following:
- Working under the supervision of the Medical Director and maintaining professional standards of care.
- Overseeing the care of individuals served & consulting with supervising physician regarding proposed treatment.
- Assessing the medical, social, & psychological components of individuals served with knowledge of their history and physical exams.
- Ordering tests and procedures, as appropriate to treatment plans and following up based on results.
- Establishing discharge plan of care for individuals needs, including medication, diet, therapeutic procedures, etc.
- Referring individuals served for after-care & follow-up with primary physician, other health care providers, or social service agencies, as appropriate.
- Incorporating risk management strategies into practice.
- Documenting individuals visits in a timely fashion, noting compliance with and response to clinical treatments, plans, & therapies.
- Signing verbal orders and obtaining signatures from department physicians on charts.
- Ensuring the safekeeping of all medical records required by the DEA as well as State and Federal guidelines.
- Maintaining clinical productivity consistent with departmental expectations and national benchmark standards, as applicable.
- Developing a specialized clinical expertise, collaborating with colleagues and community physicians, and further educating individuals in the department.

Facilities Substance Use Recovery programs include designated substance use disorder treatment centers, clinic- and outreach-based medication assisted treatment programs, and peer recovery supports. This scope of services helps adults working to overcome drug and alcohol addiction and provide additional supports within the community for various needs, including co-occurring mental and behavioral health needs.

What are we looking for in a Nurse Practitioner?
- Masters Degree or Doctorate in related field (required).
- Valid Massachusetts license as a Nurse Practitioner (required).
- Experience working within the field of addictions (preferred).
- Ability to utilize sound judgment in the establishment of priorities in patient care management.
- Ability to evaluate clinical practice through defined QA mechanism (e.g., chart review, peer review).
- Ability to work independently and with supervision.
- Independence in clinical practice.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
