A health services network in New York is actively seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their growing Psychiatric team at one of their sites!

- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to evaluate patient's mental health and psychiatric conditions
- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications to treat mental health disorders
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy
- Educate patients and their families about psychiatric disorders, treatment options, medication side effects, and strategies for managing symptoms and improving overall mental health
- Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, setting specific goals and interventions to address their mental health needs
- Assess and manage psychiatric crises, including suicide risk assessments and interventions for patients in acute distress
- Monitor patient's progress through regular follow-up appointments, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide ongoing support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Provide education and training to nursing staff, medical students, and other healthcare professionals on mental health topics
- Bachelor's Degree
- NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
- Experience in a Psych role / setting
- Master's Degree
