PA or NP Psychiatric opening in New York - Located in Oswego, NY - Syracuse 35m - Full-Time, permanent position - Seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Job description: - Is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to the team by managing assigned patients in the adult and geriatric inpatient unit. The candidate will work to deliver comprehensive patient care in an in-treatment unit setting. The incoming Psych NP will work in collaboration with physicians and APPs to assess, diagnose and develop a plan of care in accordance with practice protocols and orient them to the in-treatment unit environment. This candidate, in collaboration with other health care providers, will be responsible for obtaining complete medical histories, performing physical examinations, ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, completing medication management, making referrals for specialty consultations and care and working in collaboration with the necessary family members on education regarding the in-treatment care plan and preventative health care services. Prior experience is not required as we welcome new grads.
