Key Responsibilities:

Medication Management: Administer and monitor psychotropic medications as prescribed, evaluating their effectiveness and addressing any side effects or concerns with patients.

Therapeutic Support: Provide evidence-based psychotherapy or counseling to patients, offering emotional support, coping strategies, and skill-building techniques.

Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their journey to recovery.

Crisis Intervention: Respond to crisis situations as necessary, providing immediate support and coordinating emergency care if needed.

Collaborative Care: Collaborate closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of integrated, patient-centered care.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and ethical guidelines.

Research and Development: Stay informed about the latest advancements in mental health treatment and participate in continuous education and research to enhance patient care.
Qualifications:
- Candidates need to have a current CA license, or be able to obtain.
- New Graduates or Experienced Providers.
- Providers see on average 20 patients per day.
- Monday-Friday schedule, with no call or weekends
- Specialized training or experience in mental health care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Empathy and compassion for individuals dealing with mental health challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

We are seeking a Physician Assistant to join a Mental Health Provider in beautiful northern California. We are looking for a patient focused provider who is able to provide professional mental health services to a variety of patients. We offer therapy and counseling for individuals of all ages, and we use a team approach to treatment.
Qualifications and Duties
- Candidates need to have a current CA license, or be able to obtain.
- New Graduates or Experienced Providers.
- Providers see on average 20 patients per day.
- Monday-Friday schedule, with no call or weekends
- We offer very competitive compensation with a salary of $170,000 to $200,000, based on experience
