Job Summary

Novant Health is looking for a conscientious, compassionate, and skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our brand-new pediatric surgery practice of 3 providers in Charlotte, NC. This position would provide clinical care for pediatric general surgery patients in the ambulatory and acute settings. We are looking for APP with OR experience in Pediatric Surgery. The ideal candidate is patient-centric, flexible, adaptable, dependable, and respectful of all team members and has an ability to work in a fast-paced environment assessing pediatric patients. Candidate must be able to collaborates well with referring offices. Pediatric experience required. Surgery experienced preferred. RNFA certification required for NP's or ability to obtain by 12/31/2024.

Our expert surgeons, and advanced practice providers work collaboratively to provide remarkable care to our operative and non-operative patients. The selected APP will be responsible for performing a variety of functions under the supervision of our physicians. These functions, though not all-inclusive, include seeing patients in the clinic setting, surgical assisting in the operating room, performing office procedures, and rounding at our acute facilities.

Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree required. Either a graduate of an NCCPA accredited physician assistant program, or NP or post Master's NP program required.

Experience: One year of experience in pediatrics and/or surgery required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current PA or NP license in appropriate state required. NCCPA or registery with state nursing board, ACLS, DEA registry required. RNFA certification required for NP's.

Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and depart-specific skills validation and competency testing; Thorough knowledge of diagnosis, and pharmacology; Thorough skill in physical assessment and management of chronic illness; Communication skills, both verbal and written; general computer knowledge is preferred; ability to work independently, yet in collaboration when necessary. Ability to use problem-solving, decision making, creative and communication skills. Dedicated to patient rehabilitation and self-care.
