Contract Length: 6 months
Shift Details:
- Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
- Signout Times:
- PICU: 6:15 AM/PM
- TCUP: 6:30 AM/PM
- Pay: 12-hour pay for each shift, with a 30-minute self-determined unpaid lunch break per shift

- PICU Day (M-F): 5:1
- PICU Day (Weekends): 7:1
- PICU Nights: 10:1
- TCUP Day: 5-8:1
- TCUP Nights: 16:1

Department Description:
- Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU):
- Located at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, the PICU provides high-level care for children requiring continuous monitoring. The 20-bed unit cares for over 1,000 children annually, arriving from throughout the western United States via ambulance, helicopter, and airplane.
- Pediatric Transitional Care Unit (TCUP):
- A 16-bed unit for infants and children recovering from surgery or suffering from various conditions. The unit handles moderate to high complexity cases, including post-operative care, mechanical ventilation, and titration of anticoagulant therapy.

Requirements:
- Board Certification:
- For NP: Must be CPNP-AC certified
- For PA: Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies or Medical Studies required
- License: California state license required
- DEA: Required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent and relevant experience required
