Job Description

Job Overview:

  • Role: Pediatric APPs (Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants) specializing in pediatric care under the guidance of licensed pediatricians.
  • Location: Brand new pediatric clinics opening 2024 in the vibrant suburbs of North Atlanta.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide specialized outpatient pediatric services.
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage children's health issues.
  • Conduct thorough follow-ups, interpret tests and studies.
  • Prescribe treatments and refer to specialists when necessary.
  • Handle urgent calls after hours and during weekends on a rotational basis.
  • Administer medications and maintain comprehensive EMR notes.
  • Conduct physical exams and promote health education among young patients and their families.
  • Lead and organize the efforts of patient care and support team.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on Pediatrics.
  • Certification: Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Physician Assistant.
  • Licensure: Active APRN licensure in Georgia (or equivalent for PAs) with a pediatric specialty.
  • DEA Registration: Must possess current registration.
  • Experience: Prior clinical experience in Pediatrics is highly preferred.
