A Long Term Residential Medical Center in Yonkers is currently seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join their Night Shift team.

About the Opportunity:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire)
• Schedule: 3 nights / 12 hr
• Hours: 7pm - 7:30am
• Patient Population: New born - 27 yr olds
• Patient Volume: 6:1

Responsibilities:

The Pediatric NP will:

• Perform clinical evaluations of residents for acute illness or change in status
• Provide medical services for residents who have chronic issues as needed
• Order medications and ensure proper administration
• Use Center electronic medical records for documentation and ordering
• Provide emergency services for residents and staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree
• NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
• BCLS certification
• Completion of courses mandated for continuation of RN license, (ex. Infection Control course; Child Abuse course.)
• DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) certification

Desired Skills:

• PALS certification
• Experience working with children or adolescents who are medically complex, have mental health challenges, or intellectual developmental disabilities
