Responsibilities
Performs, under the responsibility and supervision of a physician, assessments, diagnostic and therapeutic tasks and procedures, with acknowledgement of patient's age. He/she will plan, prescribe and treat in accordance with written protocols and within the area of competency of his/her supervising physician. Reports to the supervising physician for all medical concerns and to the Area Director for others. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.

- Schedule: 10 hr shifts/4 days a week; 14-17 patients per shift
- Assignment:
- Outpatient Clinic
- PA not expected to escalate opiate doses. This is typically only done by the physician.
- Procedures optional. Physician willing to teach if PA is interested.
- Clinic willing to adapt around PA's skill set.

Qualifications
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant training program
Minimum requriements:
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
- Current California PA license from the California Medical Board Physician Assistant Examining Committee.
- Must be CPR. ACLS, PALS certified preferred.
Preferred:
- Preferably 2 years of pain management experience/orthopedic surgery/sports medicine/neurosurgery/neurology/physical medicine and rehabilitation.
Special skills:
- Able to take medical history, assess medical condition and interpret findings.
- Able to prepare and maintain records, write reports and respond to correspondence.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with patients, clinical staff, and public.
Pay Range
$56.82-$82.39 /hour
