Job Responsibilities
Job Summary: The ENT Physician Assistant (PA) works under surgeons or doctors to practice medicine in the ear, nose, and throat specialty. Your responsibilities as an otolaryngology PA include reviewing patient’s medical histories, making diagnoses, giving treatments, and performing patient assessments.
Responsibilities
Manage a patient’s care plan, order tests, and counsel and educate patients.
Prescribing medications, conducting physical examinations, recording a patient’s progress, researching treatments to ensure the best patient care
Participating in or conducting outreach programs to promote wellness or educate about disease management
Provides a solid foundation from which to address the diverse aspects of ENT/otolaryngology practice, including performing physical exams, diagnosing conditions and developing treatment plans, providing health counseling, prescribing medications, and assisting in surgery.
Qualifications
Masters degree
Accredited PA Program in the state of NY
Prefer clinical working experience as an PA within the given specialty/service line recommended, but none required.
Proficiency in performing ENT procedures.
Attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
