An established orthopedic practice in the Merrick, NY area is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent role. Candidates with 1-2+ years of orthopedic surgery experience will be considered first.
Responsibilities:
  • Full-time permanent position -
  • Monday-Friday schedule - mix of clinic/OR/rounding
  • NO hospital call
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
  • Diagnose conditions through physical examinations, medical imaging, and laboratory tests
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
  • Prescribe medications and recommend non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy or rehabilitation
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Qualifications:
  • NY State License
  • Knowledge of orthopedic surgery, treatments and terminology
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
