An established orthopedic practice in The Woodlands, TX area is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team. Candidates with previous surgical experience as well as recent graduates are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities:
  • Full-time permanent position - general orthopedics, hand, upper extremity
  • Primarily clinic based
  • Assist in the OR (1 day/week)
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
  • Diagnose musculoskeletal conditions through physical examinations, medical imaging, and laboratory tests
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
  • Prescribe medications and recommend non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy or rehabilitation
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
  • Take call
Qualifications:
  • Texas State License
  • Knowledge of orthopedic surgery, treatments and terminology
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
