Job Description
An established orthopedic practice in western Connecticut is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team. Work alongside a team of board-certified physicians and APPs. Candidates with previous surgical experience as well as recent graduates with orthopedic rotations are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Full-time permanent position - Danbury, CT office
- Monday-Friday schedule - mix of clinic, hospital and first assist duties
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose musculoskeletal conditions through physical examinations, medical imaging, and laboratory tests
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Prescribe medications and recommend non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy or rehabilitation
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
- Take call on a monthly basis
Qualifications:
- CT State License or ability to obtain one
- Knowledge of orthopedic surgery, treatments and terminology
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
