An established orthopedic practice in western Connecticut is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team. Work alongside a team of board-certified physicians and APPs. Candidates with previous surgical experience as well as recent graduates with orthopedic rotations are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Full-time permanent position - Danbury, CT office
  • Monday-Friday schedule - mix of clinic, hospital and first assist duties
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
  • Diagnose musculoskeletal conditions through physical examinations, medical imaging, and laboratory tests
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
  • Prescribe medications and recommend non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy or rehabilitation
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
  • Take call on a monthly basis

Qualifications:

  • CT State License or ability to obtain one
  • Knowledge of orthopedic surgery, treatments and terminology
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
