Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a background in Orthopedics for a locum tenens assignment at a leading medical center in Newberg, Oregon. This is an ongoing, long-term opportunity to support a dynamic orthopedic team in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The position is full-time, with flexibility for the right candidate, and starts as soon as December. Ideal candidates will have a clean file and an active Oregon license to expedite credentialing.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in surgery on Mondays and manage clinic responsibilities Tuesday through Friday.
Handle clinical calls 8–9 times per month from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m., with only clinic-related inquiries.
Collaborate with a team of skilled orthopedic professionals and work closely with support staff to deliver patient-centered care.
Ensure compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards as well as maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation.
Qualifications
Current certification as a Physician Assistant with a specialty in Orthopedics.
At least 1–2 years of orthopedic experience is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to patient care.
Prior experience in an orthopedic clinic setting and assisting in surgical procedures.
Experience with Epic EMR is a plus.
Ability to work independently and handle after-hours calls effectively.
Working Hours
On-call responsibilities are minimal and restricted to clinic calls only.
