Job Title: Orthopedic Trauma Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
Location: Lubbock, TX

Salary: $130k-155k + Sign On Bonus

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Trauma Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic orthopedic team in Lubbock, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience in orthopedic trauma care, with proficiency in small suture procedures, splinting fractures, and a history of reductions (hip, shoulder, knee, ankle). While experience is preferred, we welcome motivated candidates willing to learn and grow under the guidance of our experienced providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive orthopedic trauma care to patients in a clinical and surgical setting.
  • Perform small suture procedures, splint fractures, and assist in the reduction of dislocated joints (hip, shoulder, knee, ankle).
  • Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed to inform patient care.
  • Educate patients and families on injury prevention, treatment plans, and post-operative care.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation as needed to support the orthopedic trauma service.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid NP or PA license in the state of Texas.
  • Certification as an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner (ONP-C) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) preferred.
  • Experience in orthopedic trauma care, including small suture procedures, splinting fractures, and reductions, is highly desirable.
  • Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make critical decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and techniques.
