An orthopedic practice in Fort Myers, FL is looking to add a full time certified Physician Assistant. The PA will work 1:1 with a fellow trained ortho spine physician to treat patients in the OR and clinic. Monday-Friday schedule, some call requirements. Previous experience in orthopedics is required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients under the supervision of a physician
- Conduct physical examinations and obtain medical histories
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Prescribe medications and therapies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and their families about healthcare management and disease prevention
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Florida State licensure
- Familiarity with standards of care in various healthcare settings
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
